Bears in the woods but trout present!

Several nice fish caught in Georgia's upper Mountain streams...... small bushy streams but very nice trout for the long walk!  We landed several nice Browns and Rainbows on dry flies such as Parachute Black Ants #16's  Adams parachute #16's and a Black Helgramite a size 6 worked very well going down stream. Alot of rain had come to the upper reaches of the mountains with quick heavy down pours which sometimes stopped our fishing...... alot of wildlife around us such as Turkey, foxes... Read More



Discovery in MD

So I was in MD again this weekend and it was a hot one. Not just the weather, but luckily for me the fishing too. It was possibly the best and most disturbing fishing I've had in a while all wrapped up into one.

I was blue-lining again up in the mountain areas above US-15 North of Frederick. I found a great freestone mountain stream that was full of native brookies. The first day was fantastic. 30 plus fish with several in the 7-9 inch range and a few 10-12 inch. The water was nice... Read More
